This Refund Policy applies to all subscriptions and pay-as-you-go purchases at vera.ink and is incorporated into our Terms of Service. Where statutory consumer rights in your jurisdiction provide greater protection, those rights are not excluded. All refunds are processed in USD.
01 / STANDARD 7-DAY REFUND WINDOW — ALL USERS
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee from the date of your first subscription payment. If you are not satisfied within the first 7 days, contact us at support@vera.ink and we will issue a full refund, no reason required. This applies to your first subscription payment only.
For EU and UK consumers, the statutory 14-day withdrawal right (as detailed in Sections 02 and 03) supersedes this offer.
02 / EU CONSUMERS — 14-DAY STATUTORY WITHDRAWAL RIGHT
If you are resident in the European Economic Area, you have a statutory right under the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU to withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of purchase, without reason.
Where you have used the service during the 14-day withdrawal period, we will deduct a proportionate amount before refunding. This deduction is calculated as the monthly fee divided by the total credit allocation for your plan, multiplied by credits consumed during the withdrawal period. We will provide this calculation in writing before processing any deduction.
To exercise your withdrawal right, email support@vera.ink with subject 'EU WITHDRAWAL REQUEST', including your account email and date of purchase. We will acknowledge within 2 business days and process any refund within 14 days.
03 / UK CONSUMERS — 14-DAY STATUTORY WITHDRAWAL RIGHT
If you are resident in the United Kingdom, you have a 14-day cooling-off period under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The same proportionate deduction method described in Section 02 applies.

04 / SOUTH AFRICAN CONSUMERS
Monthly rolling subscriptions with no minimum term are not fixed-term agreements under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. You may cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period. We honour our 7-day refund window (Section 01) for all South African subscribers.
05 / AUSTRALIAN CONSUMERS
Our services come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2, Competition and Consumer Act 2010) that cannot be excluded. If the service is not fit for purpose, not of acceptable quality, or not as described, you may be entitled to a remedy, including a refund or replacement. Contact support@vera.ink and we will respond within 5 business days.
06 / CALIFORNIA CONSUMERS — USA
Under the California Automatic Renewal Law (California Business and Professions Code Section 17600 et seq.), California subscribers are entitled to clear disclosure of automatic renewal terms, including the term, price, and cancellation policy, before purchase. Cancellation is available via your Dodo Payments billing portal or by emailing support@vera.ink.
07 / PAY-AS-YOU-GO CREDITS
Pay-as-you-go credit packs are non-refundable once any credits from the pack have been used. Unused credits from a pack not yet used are eligible for refund within 14 days of purchase if requested at support@vera.ink, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.
08 / SUBSEQUENT MONTHLY RENEWALS
Monthly renewal charges beyond your first payment are non-refundable for the current billing period, except as required by applicable law. You may cancel at any time to prevent future charges; access continues until the end of the paid period.
If you are charged after having cancelled, or charged twice for the same period, we will refund the erroneous charge in full within 5 business days of being notified.
09 / TECHNICAL FAILURES
If the service was materially unavailable or failed to function as described due to a fault on our side for a significant portion of your billing period, contact support@vera.ink. We will review and may offer a partial refund, credit extension, or service credit as appropriate.
10 / WHAT WE CANNOT REFUND
We are not able to refund fees where:
- You changed your mind after the applicable withdrawal or refund window has closed
- AI-generated outputs did not meet your expectations where the service otherwise functioned as described
- You failed to use the service during the billing period
- Your account was terminated due to a breach of our Terms of Service
11 / HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND
Email support@vera.ink with subject 'REFUND REQUEST'. Include your account email, the date of the charge, and the reason. We aim to respond within 2 business days. For issues covered by the Australian Consumer Law, we will respond within 5 business days. Refunds are processed through Dodo Payments and may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
12 / CHARGEBACKS
If you initiate a chargeback without first contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending resolution. Legitimate refund requests within applicable windows will be honoured promptly.
