What counts as one verification?
One document checked against one source pack or URL, across 2 analysis rounds of deterministic, cited detection. Cost scales with document size (3-8 credits). Generating the corrected document is a separate step (3-5 credits) — run it only on the documents you actually need fixed.
Can I use my own legislation or standards?
Yes. Build a Source Pack from any legislation, criteria, or standard — paste your own sources, or let VERA discover and fetch authoritative sources for you. VERA uses semantic search to pull only the relevant sections into each verification.
Why does pack building cost credits?
A pack is built once and reused for every future verification against it — most of the cost is upfront, not recurring. Pasting your own sources is cheap (extraction only); letting VERA discover sources for you costs more, since that step searches and fetches real pages on your behalf. Strengthening a pack you've already built is always priced at the cheap extraction rate.
What's the document size limit?
Up to ~15,000 words (~50 pages) per document. If a single file goes over that, you'll need to trim it to the section you need checked. For genuinely longer material, upload it as a related document set — multiple files verified together as one job, supported up to ~60,000 words combined (12 credits).
Can an AI agent use VERA on my behalf?
Yes — generate an API key and connect VERA to Claude, Cursor, or any MCP-capable agent. Calls made through your key are metered from your own credit balance, same as the web app.
Do unused credits roll over?
Credits reset on your monthly billing date and don't roll over — annual plans get the same monthly grant as paying month-to-month, just at a discounted yearly price. Pay-as-you-go credit packs never expire.
Can I change plans?
Yes, upgrade or downgrade anytime.
